Saddles and fitting

As a qualified saddle fitter James can find and fit the perfect saddle for you, and your horse.

The Fitting Process

  1. The first step is a consultation to get some background information on you and your horse
  2. Next a careful analysis of you and your horse in action
  3. You try the saddles that will suit you best, all under James’ expert eye

Alterations to new and existing saddles can often be done on site, saving you the inconvenience of being without a saddle.

James also carries a range of accessories, so can provide you with the right girth, numnah or pad for your saddle.

Repairs and adjustments

It is important you get your saddle regularly checked. Changes in your horses condition and fitness can have an impact on how your saddle fits. These can usually be solved by smaller adjustment that James will normally do on site – saving you the inconvenience of being without a saddle.

It is equally important to make sure your saddle and bridle are in good condition. Re-stitching and adjustments can often be a simple task – that can make a big difference – nobody want a stirrup leather snapping half way round a cross country course!
